Job summary

Howard Financial is hiring a junior Bookkeeper to support day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of US clients. You will work with Accountants to ensure timely, accurate books and contribute to the month-end close.

The ideal candidate has solid accounting fundamentals, hands-on QuickBooks Online experience, and meticulous attention to detail. This is a great entry point with mentorship and growth to more senior roles within a fully remote, global team.

Qualifications

• Solid bookkeeping fundamentals: double-entry and reconciliations.
• Hands-on QuickBooks Online experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in month-end close.
• Good written and spoken English to work with US clients.

Responsibilities

• Record and categorize daily transactions in QuickBooks Online.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts monthly.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare journal entries including accruals and adjustments.
• Support month-end close with schedules and discrepancy flags.
• Organize client files and supporting docs for audit trails.
• Prepare basic financial reports (P&L, balance sheet) for review.
