Job summary

Keet is a fully peer-to-peer messaging and video calling app built on Holepunch's P2P stack, with no servers or middlemen. We are taking Keet to a billion users and are seeking a Product Engineering Lead to turn direction into features that scale globally.

You will lead the API and frontend teams, partner with product, and own the engineering bar. The role blends leadership with hands-on coding in a fast-paced, distributed system environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading consumer-product engineering teams.
• Strong JS/React development background.
• Ability to align product and engineering.
• Experience with distributed/local-first systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run the API and frontend teams day to day: unblocking, reviewing, and shipping.
• Set and hold a high engineering bar for performance, reliability, and clean APIs.
• Own the technical design of features and API surface between Keet's core and the app.
• Collaborate with product to turn roadmap into scoped work; provide engineering input on feasibility.
