Job summary

vidIQ is seeking a frontend-leaning software engineer with strong UI skills to own entire product surfaces end to end. You will shape UX, APIs, and data flows across the stack, delivering AI-powered experiences for millions of YouTube creators.

You have 5+ years of professional software development, strong TypeScript/React expertise, and comfort with API design. This is a remote role with global reach and growth opportunities in AI-driven software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Frontend strong, but comfortable on the backend; design an API, write server-side code, debug across client-server boundary.
• Self-driven; able to make decisions and move work forward independently.
• Led projects from concept to completion, including documenting the work.
• Care about product quality and maintainable code.
• Clear written and spoken communication; explain technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Proficient with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Vite, and Tailwind.

Responsibilities

• Own product surfaces end to end.
• Work across the stack to build backend APIs, services, and data flows when a feature needs it.
• Drive your own roadmap from user feedback, data, and the codebase; deliver with minimal supervision.
• Build AI-powered product experiences with LLM-driven features across the stack.
• Fix architecture and performance bottlenecks across frontend and backend.
• Incorporate AI responsibly; use tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot.
• Improve durability with monitoring and error reporting; own what you ship live.
• Mentor others; review code and provide constructive feedback.
