Job summary

TransPerfect is seeking a Language Lead to translate and proofread Life Science documents and coordinate a team of linguists. This remote freelance role engages closely with Project Managers and clients to ensure high-quality deliverables.

In addition to linguistic work, you will manage quality processes, review feedback, and maintain translation memories, glossaries, and style guides to ensure consistency across accounts.

Qualifications

• Must have strong written and verbal English and Simplified Chinese (China).
• Experience in Life Science translations a plus.
• Ability to manage, mentor and provide feedback to linguists.
• Strong client communication and ability to handle feedback diplomatically.
• Experience with language asset management including TMs, glossaries and style guides.

Responsibilities

• Act as a client-facing linguistic contact for TransPerfect.
• Review client complaints and determine root causes with corrective actions.
• Maintain language quality standards across projects and accounts.
• Manage language assets including TMs, glossaries, and style guides.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to understand requirements and timelines.
• Translate and proofread Life Science documents for accuracy and regulatory terminology.
