Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Mid-level Data Engineer to build and maintain dbt pipelines and Snowflake data marts behind customer-facing reporting, spend analytics, and AI features. You will own ingestion, orchestration, and data quality across production pipelines while ensuring data governance and security.

You will work with SQL and Python, develop APIs with FastAPI, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into robust data models for analytics and AI

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar with production pipelines.
• Solid dbt experience: modeling, tests, macros, and incremental models.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Data modeling fundamentals: dimensional modeling, data marts, grain and conformance.
• Experience with a modern cloud warehouse (Snowflake preferred).
• Experience with ingestion tooling and orchestration (Airbyte, Prefect).
• Familiarity with guardrails around AI tooling and data governance.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dbt pipelines, data marts, and warehouse models for reporting and analytics.
• Translate complex business logic into maintainable pipeline code.
• Develop models within the data mart architecture and suggest improvements.
• Contribute to the semantic layer queried by internal agents and dashboards.
• Maintain data boundaries for PII and safe analytics.
• Build FastAPI services exposing reporting marts to customers.
• Create ingestion pipelines (Airbyte, S3) and support data onboarding.
• Implement data quality checks, freshness, schema, and reconciliation tests.
