Proofpoint is seeking a Software Engineer III, Applied Agentic AI in Córdoba, Argentina, for a full-time role. You will build reference agentic applications, establish best practices, and develop evaluation harnesses for measuring quality, cost, and latency across agent runtimes and MCP integrations.

You’ll work with distributed engineers to ship PoCs rapidly, then turn them into reusable platform features for product teams worldwide. Strong Python, cloud, and AI tooling experience are required.

Formación

• 3+ years of engineering experience with hands-on work on LLM or agentic systems beyond prototyping.
• Solid understanding of the agentic development lifecycle and components (runtimes, MCP integration, memory, planning).
• Strong Python skills; TypeScript/Node a plus.
• Experience with cloud microservices, containers, CI/CD and automated deployment.
• Comfort with distributed systems and observability (traces/metrics).
• Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain or similar toolkits and SDKs.
• Initiative to ship PoCs quickly and present results to teams.
• Strong collaboration with globally distributed teams.

Responsabilidades

• Build reference agentic applications end-to-end on Proofpoint's platform.
• Document best practices for MCP integration, prompt management, and memory usage.
• Design evaluation harnesses and metrics to guide feature decisions.
• Turn ambiguous questions into working prototypes and present outcomes.
• Harden prototypes into reusable platform capabilities for product teams.
• Collaborate with security researchers and product tech leads.
• Socialize agentic patterns across the company with demos and guides.
• Engage with stakeholders and participate in cross-team design discussions.
