Bitfinex is seeking a Transaction Monitoring Investigator to safeguard the integrity of our platform. You will analyze alerts, investigate potential money laundering and sanctions risks, and work with AML Investigators and product teams.

The role requires strong analytical thinking, knowledge of AML/KYC/CTF, and a curious interest in cryptocurrency. You will help develop monitoring rules, produce regulatory reports, and support process improvements in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in the compliance field within the financial industry.
• Solid understanding of AML/KYC/CTF policies, laws and regulations.
• Basic knowledge of blockchain technology and crypto markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement transaction monitoring rules to detect AML/TF/ sanctions risks.
• Analyze alerts from the monitoring system for fiat and crypto trades, deposits and withdrawals.
• Prepare periodic reports highlighting ML/TF and sanctions anomalies for leadership and product teams.
• Collaborate with AML Investigators and Compliance teams to address risks and regulatory requirements.
• Continuously improve KYC/AML/CTF processes and monitoring controls.
