Bitfinex is seeking a Transaction Monitoring Investigator to safeguard the platform by identifying and mitigating financial crime risks across fiat and crypto transactions. You will analyze alerts, assess account activity, and escalate high‑risk cases while collaborating with AML Investigators, Product teams, and Compliance leadership.

The role emphasizes strong analytical thinking, deep interest in cryptocurrency, and evolving AML/KYC regulations within a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in the compliance field within the crypto/fintech sector.
• Knowledge of AML/KYC/CTF policies, laws and regulations.
• Familiarity with blockchain technologies and crypto investigations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate AML/CTF alerts across fiat and crypto transfers.
• Escalate high-risk cases to leadership with clear rationale.
• Collaborate with AML Investigators, Product teams and Compliance leadership.
• Document findings and support regulatory reporting and process improvements.
• Adjust risk parameters and ensure ongoing KYC/AML/CTF compliance.
