Met T&S, the Regional AFC Coordinator South America role, is based in Argentina and focuses on administration, finance and control across the region. You will ensure accurate accounting, cash management, and timely reporting for projects and commercial activities.

You will supervise accounts payable/receivable, assist statutory compliance, coordinate month-end close, and collaborate with Group structures and external advisors.

Formación

• Fluent in Spanish (mandatory) and English.
• Experience managing large industrial, EPC, energy, oil & gas, petrochemical, or infrastructure construction sites.
• Understand local South American construction environments, contractors, and regulations.
• Willing to support projects across Argentina and the region.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee local accounting and coordinate Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Accounting in line with Group policies and local regulations.
• Supervise daily accounting activities including bookkeeping, payments, vendor/customer inquiries, internal reporting, intercompany reconciliation and cash collection.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities; manage statutory financial statements and Group reporting under local standards and IFRS; coordinate with external auditors.
• Coordinate with Group Trading Department on trade finance documentation and control; align with Maire Tecnimont Responsible for Financial Planning & Treasury functions.
• Ensure observation of parent company guidelines for planning, control, project accounting and reporting; develop AFC procedures and internal controls.

Mission

Coordinate the Administration, Finance & Control activities of the Region with main focus on the Argentinean Company, ensuring accurate accounting and reporting, effective cash and financial management, full compliance with local fiscal and statutory requirements, and timely support to projects and commercial activities.

Activities and main responsibilities

Following the guidelines of the Responsible and in close coordination with AFC Head Office Departments, for the assigned geographic region, the Region AFC Coordinator South America has the following main responsibilities:

• Oversee local accounting and coordinate the activities of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Accounting, ensuring compliance with Group policies and local statutory requirements;
• Supervise the daily activities of the Function which includes bookkeeping, payments, suppliers/clients’ queries, internal reporting requested by the management, intercompany reconciliation and credit collection, cash flow forecast.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities, review reconciliations and ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records and reporting packages; Manage statutory financial statements and Group reporting under applicable local accounting standards and IFRS, coordinating with external auditors and local advisors; Manage cash flow, liquidity forecasts, payments, collections, banking activities, intercompany settlements and foreign-exchange exposures in close collaboration with the Finance structures;
• Coordinate with Group Trading Department the internal reporting and prepare the necessary trade finance documentation and control (for example letter of credit and bank guarantees);
• Coordinate with Maire Tecnimont Responsible of the Financial Planning & Treasury Function with financial strategies (for example: opening of letter of credit, Intercompany Loans, cash pooling management);
• Ensure application of the guidelines for planning, management control, project accounting and reporting, analysing variances and proposing corrective actions;
• Ensure full observation of the policies established by the parent company regarding the relative tasks, contributing to their correct application in the company and in the subsidiary/managed companies;
• Manage direct and indirect tax compliance, including Corporate Income Tax, VAT, turnover/gross receipts taxes, municipal taxes, withholding and collection regimes, and other applicable fiscal obligations;
• Coordinate tax audits and inspections, tax reconciliations, transfer-pricing documentation, intercompany agreements and tax reporting in close coordination with Group Fiscal Affairs and local advisors;
• Assess the tax and administrative implications of contracts, cross-border services, imports, permanent establishments and new projects, and support the commercial and project teams on AFC matters;
• Maintain AFC procedures, internal controls and supporting documentation, ensuring timely remediation of identified issues and compliance with audit requirements; Coordinate and develop assigned AFC resources, allocate activities, monitor deadlines and promote effective cooperation with Home Office and other Group Functions;
