Jetpacks! is seeking a QA Engineer to enhance testability, code health, infrastructure, performance, and monitoring of the software our client builds.

You will perform manual QA, write automated tests, and help shape test automation, tooling, and measurement frameworks that keep the product stable, scalable, and shipping fast. Join a LatAm team and collaborate with engineers, product managers, UI/UX designers, and customer support to improve product quality, stability, and scalability.

Formación

  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Solid understanding of software development and QA methodologies, CI/CD tools, and processes.
  • Experience developing automated tests within the Playwright framework.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Able to troubleshoot issues related to UI design and API calls.

Jetpacks! is looking for someone to join our LatAm team as QA Engineer. In this role, you'll be responsible for enhancing the testability, code health, infrastructure, performance, and monitoring of the software our client builds, performing manual QA, writing automated tests, and helping shape test automation, tooling, and measurement frameworks that keep the product stable, scalable, and shipping fast.

Role Responsibilities

  • Review requirements, specs, and technical design documents, providing timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Analyze bugs and errors uncovered during testing.
  • Document test results clearly for the software development team.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, UI/UX designers, and customer support to improve product quality, stability, and scalability.
  • Join daily stand-ups, sprint ceremonies, and other team discussions.
  • Own QA for bug fixes and enhancements, and write automated test scripts.
  • Champion best practices in testability, code health, infrastructure, and monitoring.
  • Share learnings from past experience to inform engineering decisions when building new features, enhancing existing functionality, and keeping the platform available.
  • Recommend improvements to UI/UX, features, and functionality to enhance the user experience.

How will you be supported?

You'll be onboarded to the tech team organization. You will be part of a team and will communicate with them via Slack and Google Meet. Periodic 1-on-1 meetings will be held to ensure you are successful and are having a productive and enjoyable experience.

Role Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate technical problems and solutions to fellow engineers and business stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of software development and QA methodologies, CI/CD tools, and processes.
  • Experience developing automated tests within the Playwright framework.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to troubleshoot issues and anticipate challenges related to UI design and API calls.
  • Great team player, able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with web software and B2B web applications.
  • 3+ years of experience doing manual and automated QA for one or more web applications.
  • Experience working with one or more cloud services like Heroku, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or AWS.
  • Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases.
  • Advanced English level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages.
  • SQL knowledge.
  • Experience with QA of mobile applications.
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing.
