AgileEngine is seeking a Python Application Security Engineer to automate security controls across CI/CD pipelines and improve vulnerability management.

You will integrate SAST/DAST/SCA checks, tune security scanning tools to reduce false positives, and collaborate with development teams to implement code-level remediation in Java and Python. This role offers flexible hours with remote/office options.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial experience in software engineering.
• Strong Python proficiency for automation and scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration tools and vulnerability scoring frameworks.
• AppSec tooling expertise or security architecture.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on complex scripting and integration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline Integration: integrate SAST/DAST/SCA into CI/CD pipelines.
• Security Data Triage: tune scanning tools to reduce false positives and noise.
• Baseline Automation: develop automated hardened baselines and secure coding patterns.
• Code-Level Remediation: provide actionable remediation guidance in Java and Python.
