AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Python Application Security Engineer to automate security controls and improve vulnerability management across CI/CD pipelines. The role requires 3–5 years of software engineering and strong Python automation skills.

You will integrate SAST/DAST/SCA into pipelines, tune scanners to reduce false positives, and guide remediation with product teams in Java and Python. Flexible remote/office options offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Solid coding in Python for automation and scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and vulnerability scoring frameworks.
• AppSec tooling experience or security architecture.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on complex scripting and integration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline Integration: write and maintain scripts to integrate security gates (SAST, DAST, SCA) into CI/CD.
• Security Data Triage: tune security scanners to reduce false positives and deliver high-confidence alerts.
• Baseline Automation: code and deploy automated hardened baselines and secure coding patterns.
• Code-Level Remediation: work with product teams to provide actionable remediation guidance in Java and Python.
