AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Python Application Security Engineer to automate security controls and strengthen vulnerability management across CI/CD pipelines.

You will collaborate with development teams to embed security into code and tooling, ensuring robust, scalable security practices. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in software engineering, strong Python skills, and experience with CI/CD orchestration and vulnerability scoring frameworks.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial experience in software engineering.
• Solid coding proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
• Working knowledge of modern CI/CD orchestration tools and practical experience interacting with vulnerability scoring frameworks.
• AppSec tooling expertise or security architecture.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision on day-to-day execution, reliably completing complex scripting and integration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline Integration: Write and maintain scripts to integrate security gates (SAST, DAST, SCA) into CI/CD pipelines.
• Security Data Triage: Tune and configure security scanning tools to eliminate false positives and deliver high-confidence alerts.
• Baseline Automation: Help code and deploy automated hardened baselines and secure coding patterns.
• Code-Level Remediation: Provide actionable remediation guidance in Java and Python with product teams.
