AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Python Application Security Engineer to automate security controls and strengthen vulnerability management across CI/CD pipelines. You will work with product teams to integrate SAST/DAST/SCA gates and improve secure coding practices.

You should have 3–5 years in software engineering, solid Python, experience with CI/CD tooling, and AppSec know-how. Remote-friendly with flexible hours, hybrid options, and opportunities to grow in a security-first engineering culture.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong Python scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration tools and vulnerability scoring frameworks.
• AppSec tooling expertise or security architecture.
• Able to work with minimal supervision on complex scripting and integration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline Integration: integrate SAST/DAST/SCA into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Security data triage: tune and configure scanners to reduce false positives and raise confidence of alerts.
• Baseline Automation: develop automated hardened baselines and secure coding patterns.
• Code-level remediation: provide actionable remediation guidance to product teams in Java and Python.
