Assurant is seeking a Product Configuration Assistant in Buenos Aires to support development and maintenance of rating, system control, and reporting tables on the GLoW Admin system.

The role involves deploying products, interpreting data from production tables, and assisting in tests and UAT. Candidates should have SQL/Python skills and a basic understanding of insurance products, with strong analytical abilities.

• Assist in investigating, correcting, and mitigating errors in tables.
• Support UAT during system modifications and enhancements.
• Manage and document assigned projects with status, milestones, and deadlines.

Purpose

The Product Configuration Assistant will assist in the development and maintenance of the insurance rating, system control, financial mapping and reporting support tables on the GLoW Admin Business system. The position helps configure products, identifies and documents all unexpected results and works with other team members to propose solutions to management. The Product Configuration Assistant will assist in the review of current business processes to determine if they are effective and efficient in supporting business objectives. This role possesses basic product and system knowledge that helps support product delivery and future new product concepts and product implementation to the systems. This position can report to the Supervisor, Manager or Director of Product Configuration.

Responsibilities

• Helps deploy products, which includes but not limited to: product rate files, vehicle class, eligibility constraints, accounting distribution(s), line of business reporting, rate calculation methods and dynamic form setup, as directed
• Learns how to interpret, extract & reconcile data from production tables that will be used to support Operational reviews, as well as State DOI audits/compliance
• Implement and maintain products on application and legacy systems
• Ensures products adhere to product specification as directed by manager
• Learns process and how to create test cases, perform testing and document results
• Provide support analyzing basic policy and rating issues; suggest solutions
• Learn & understand current business processes
• Assist in the investigation, correction, and mitigation of errors found tables
• Help support UAT during system modifications and enhancements
• Manages and documents assigned projects and maintains current project list that includes status, milestones & deadlines, accessible to manager
• Perform all other duties and participate in special projects assigned

Preferred Experience

• Experience with SQL, Python
• Basic understanding of warranty or insurance product knowledge/terminology
• Basic understanding of database theory and experience working with databases
• Self-driven with a desire to successfully take on new challenges and additional responsibilities
• Can work on multiple projects with varying deadlines and prioritizes
• Asks questions to clarify and seeks out information
• Understands how to accurately produce reports, memorandums, and other communications needed for internal and external requests by following specifications in place
• Demonstrates competent analytical skills
• Strong organizational skills
