Job summary

Ecolab seeks an Attorney Specialist for GBS+ Buenos Aires to review, draft, negotiate, and manage procurement-related contracts for the Global High Tech business. You will advise stakeholders on contract terms, identify risks, and help achieve business objectives while mitigating risk.

The role focuses on providing practical legal support to Procurement and Supply Chain, primarily for North America, with collaboration across multiple functions and geographies.

Qualifications

• Law degree and authorization to practice law.
• 5+ years of experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or a combination of both, with substantial experience in commercial contracting and procurement-related matters.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Experience supporting Procurement, Supply Chain, manufacturing, logistics, technology, or other commercial business functions.
• Experience working with high tech equipment manufacturing clients or businesses is preferred.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on contracts in English.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, negotiate, and manage a broad range of procurement-related agreements, including supply, services, equipment, subcontracting, logistics, distribution, technology and SaaS, NDAs, and other supplier-facing contracts.
• Review and negotiate supplier-drafted agreements, identifying risks and proposing alternatives aligned with Ecolab policies.
• Provide day-to-day legal support to Procurement, Supply Chain, and other business stakeholders, primarily supporting North American operations.
• Identify, assess, and communicate legal and commercial risks relating to indemnification, limitation of liability, warranties, IP, confidentiality, insurance, and compliance.
• Support negotiation of terms that align with Ecolab policies, risk tolerance, and business objectives.
• Provide practical, risk-adjusted legal advice enabling informed business decisions.
• Build relationships with legal and business stakeholders across supported functions and geographies.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Trade Compliance, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, and Compliance to support contracting practices and risk management.
• Develop and improve contract templates, guidance materials, knowledge resources, processes, and training.
