About the Role

Our client is searching for a dedicated Power Systems Electrical Engineer to join their team in Sandton. This role focuses on the design, analysis, and implementation of robust power systems infrastructure, ensuring reliable energy supply and operational efficiency. You will play a critical part in managing power distribution, protection schemes, and integration of new power technologies. This hybrid position allows for close collaboration with the team while offering some flexibility in work arrangements, contributing to significant infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze electrical power systems, including distribution networks and substations.
• Develop protection schemes, coordination studies, and fault analyses for power systems.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of power system equipment.
• Ensure compliance with grid codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to power system performance and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Power Systems.
