Job summary

Linden Lab is seeking a Senior Manager, People Operations to own day-to-day employee experience and elevate People processes. You will report to the Director, People & Culture, and lead operational work across payroll, benefits, leaves, and the employee lifecycle, while building systems that reduce friction and improve decision-making.

You’ll collaborate with senior People leaders to drive improvements, automation, and data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive People Operations experience across payroll, benefits, leaves, compliance, HR systems, and the employee lifecycle.
• 3+ years of direct people management experience.
• Experience supporting multi-state payroll and California requirements.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day People Operations with accurate, timely, compliant delivery of employee experience.
• Lead payroll administration across multi-state workforce with strong controls.
• Oversee benefits, retirement plans, leaves, and workers’ compensation administration.
• Own the employee lifecycle from pre-onboarding through offboarding with integrated systems and processes.
• Drive continuous improvement through data, systems thinking, and self-service enhancements; design automation to reduce manual work.
• Maintain data integrity in Paylocity and other HR systems; optimize integrations.
• Develop People metrics, dashboards, and reporting for leadership; translate data into action.
• Ensure ongoing compliance and audit readiness for retirement plans, payroll, taxes, and employee records.
• Advise employees and managers on policies, benefits, leaves, performance processes; escalate as needed.
• Hire, manage, and develop a People Operations team; build capability and ownership across the function.
• Surface trends, risks, and progress to leadership with context and recommendations.
