Job summary

Transperfect is seeking a Payroll Analyst to assist with processing and coordinating bi-weekly and monthly payrolls for over 3,000 employees in the US and Canada. This role supports timely pay, compliance, and reporting.

Responsibilities include processing payroll, deductions, garnishments, year-end tasks, W-2s, answering inquiries, maintaining records, and ensuring federal, state, and local compliance while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• BA degree required.
• Excellent English skills both written and verbal.
• Strong communications and customer service skills under deadline pressure.
• Minimum 2 years of direct payroll experience.
• Workday experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and payroll software.
• Able to multitask with extreme attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Processes weekly & bi-weekly payroll, reports, reconciliations, year-end procedures and W-2's for multi-state employees.
• Ensures the accurate processing of all mandatory and voluntary deductions as well as garnishments, liens, direct deposit requests, 401K loans, etc.
• Responds to inquiries and verifications for unemployment and other payroll-related data.
• Maintains related records, documenting and updating procedures, and preparing special reports for management.
• Ensures legal compliance in completing all paperwork including all Federal, State and Local laws regarding payroll administration.
• Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures as they relate to payroll.
• Processes weekly, bi-weekly, special compensation, commission, and bonus checks with the highest standard of accuracy and timeliness.
• Counsel and resolve employee payroll issues.
• Ability to create and analyze reports on an as needed basis.
• Keeps current in trends and regulations as they relate to the payroll function.
• Perform other special projects or duties when required
