Newsela is seeking an IT Operations Specialist to empower a distributed team of 500+ employees by delivering seamless tech support, optimizing internal platforms, and driving operational efficiency. You will handle access, security, and hardware requests, while owning onboarding and offboarding experiences across the organization.

This role emphasizes Apple/macOS expertise and collaboration with Legal, Procurement, and People Operations.

Formación

2+ years of IT Support experience.
Deep working knowledge of Apple hardware and macOS.
Experience with Google Workspace and device management tools (Kandji/Iru).
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
Troubleshooting with a methodical approach.
Familiarity with scripting/automation a plus (GAM).

Responsabilidades

Resolve IT requests (access, security, equipment) and administer internal platforms (Apple/macOS, Google Workspace, Iru/Kandji, Slack, Atlassian, 1Password).
Build relationships across the organization to understand department-level support needs.
Own staff onboarding and offboarding, coordinating with People Operations and hiring managers; update docs; liaise with hardware vendors.
Implement support models and security guidelines as directed by Senior System Administrator.
Join and align with Legal, Procurement, IT operations teams.
Maintain after-hours coverage for critical system changes when needed.
