Disney in Buenos Aires, Argentina seeks a Lead Software Engineer to own the architecture of our shared player library and drive feature work across QC playback stacks. You will mentor engineers, set standards, and collaborate with operator teams to translate pain points into robust, scalable solutions.

The role requires strong React 18+ and TypeScript skills, hands-on coding in unfamiliar codebases, and experience integrating media players into web apps. Full-time on site.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience building and delivering production-grade software applications.
• Advanced level of English.
• Hands-on coding in unfamiliar codebase.
• Concrete system design with clear interfaces and responsibilities.
• Track record of technical ownership as an engineer.
• Clear communication and mentoring of engineers and non-engineering partners.
• Strong React 18+ and TypeScript proficiency.
• Experience integrating media players into web applications.
• Solid grasp of async programming models and concurrency.
• Experience designing or maintaining a library consumed by other teams.
• Proficient with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized builds.

Responsabilidades

• Own the architecture of the shared player library and its API surface and versioning.
• Lead layering work to move streaming concerns behind a clean API.
• Design hooks and data APIs for consuming teams to build their own control layouts.
• Implement and maintain features on the QC player stack used by operators.
• Set engineering standards: test coverage, reviews, and layer responsibilities.
• Collaborate with QC operators to convert pain into product requirements.
• Own deployment quality and stability strategy, including telemetry.
• Mentor engineers and raise the bar through code/design reviews.
• Unblock issues affecting testing and release of content to customers.
• Provide on-call rotation support as needed.
