Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Field Engineer to install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot Control Solutions hardware and software across Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and related industries. You will review plant drawings, coordinate resources, and report progress to clients and project managers on a regular basis.

You will lead commissioning, FAT, SAT, and unit start-up activities, supervise subcontractors, and ensure safe operation while meeting contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience on power plant electrical equipment & controls installation/commissioning/startup.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment control philosophy in Power Generation (HDGT, aeroderivative, steam turbines).
• Knowledge of field devices and industrial protocols (IEC61853, Modbus, OPC, Profibus).

Responsibilities

• Install and commission Control Solutions hardware and software in Oil & Gas, Power Generation and process industries.
• Troubleshoot on-site hardware/software installations.
• Prepare field service interventions with project managers.
• Provide on-site technical assistance and customer training as needed.
• Supervise subcontractors and equipment installations.
• Perform FAT and commissioning tests and start-up.
• Document timesheets and write post-job reports.
• Maintain knowledge of GE Vernova Control Solutions hardware/software.
