Job summary

Assurant Services Argentina, S.A. is seeking a Lead Accountant to join our remote finance team. You will manage equity and intercompany accounting, consolidations, and the year‑end close, using Oracle ERP and advanced Excel/PowerBI.

You will reconcile capital movements between parent and subsidiary entities and support acquisitions, dissolutions, mergers, and transfers. The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, knowledge of US GAAP, and the ability to communicate with international

Qualifications

• 5+ years accounting experience, preferably in corporate or consolidation environments.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Excellent oral and written communication with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile equity movements between parent and subsidiary entities; assist with acquisitions, dissolutions, mergers, and transfers.
• Review monthly consolidated equity pickup and eliminations for accuracy; record equity clean-up entries and prepare reconciliations.
• Assist in reconciling and troubleshooting the year-end close out process.
• Track and reconcile intercompany loans; prepare intercompany reconciliations for select entities including domestic holding companies.
• Review intercompany recharge entries and assist with royalty payments between domestic and international entities.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports for internal management and assist with projects as needs change.
• Assist in SEC reporting schedule preparation and review of 10Q/10K as needed.

Core Responsibilities

• Equity:
  • Record and reconcile cash and non-cash capital movements between parent and subsidiary legal entities.
  • Assist with accounting for entity acquisitions, dissolutions, mergers, and transfers.
  • Review monthly consolidated equity pickup and eliminations for accuracy.
  • Record equity related clean-up entries as needed and prepare related account reconciliations.
  • Assist in reconciling and troubleshooting the year-end close out process.
• Intercompany:
  • Track and reconcile intercompany loans.
  • Prepare intercompany reconciliation for select entities, including domestic holding companies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education BA or BS in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience, experience in Corporate or Consolidations environment a plus
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Experience with Oracle ERP a plus
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerBI a plus
