Placements24 is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist for our retail client with operations in Sandton. The role focuses on ensuring accurate stock levels from receiving to final sale, minimizing discrepancies, and maintaining robust control processes.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in inventory management within a retail or distribution environment, and proficiency with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
• Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Retail or distribution environment experience in Sandton is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage inventory levels across all stock locations to ensure accuracy.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories, resolving discrepancies.
• Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and systems.
• Analyze inventory data to forecast demand and optimize stock replenishment.
• Coordinate with purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to stock shrinkage, damages, and obsolescence.
