Proofpoint is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team in Córdoba, Argentina. You're a senior IC who will design, build, and operate large-scale data infrastructure supporting cybersecurity products and analytics.

You'll work across ingestion, transformation, and delivery using cloud-native tooling on AWS, partnering with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to turn raw data into governed, performant data assets.

Competenze

8+ years in software or data engineering; 4+ years in cloud data platforms.
Deep AWS data services: S3, Glue, Athena.
Strong Python; PySpark or Spark (Scala) production knowledge.
Solid SQL; able to write and tune complex analytical queries.
Excellent communication to stakeholders.
Mentoring engineers and leading technical design discussions.
Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.

Mansioni

Design and build scalable data pipelines on AWS Glue and S3.
Define lake architecture; partitioning, file formats, and Data Catalog schemas.
Enforce data quality with validation, anomaly detection, and SLA-driven alerts.
Promote CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CDK) and DataOps.
Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers.
Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and product managers on data models.
