Job summary

S&P Global Energy is seeking an AI & Digital In-Business Controls Manager to shape how AI is deployed safely and ethically across the division. The role sits in the first line, partnering with IT, Legal, Compliance and 2nd Line Risk to design fit-for-purpose controls and SOPs while building monitoring and incident readiness for AI systems.

You will work with senior stakeholders, influence risk strategies, and promote cross-functional collaboration to adapt to evolving regulations and standards.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in risk, compliance, or control-focused roles with AI/tech infrastructure.
• Knowledge of AI concepts, data handling, and ethics.
• Ability to simplify processes, identify risks, and drive automation.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills for actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.
• Experience working in a global, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate risks from AI technologies and applications.
• Develop and review SOPs to mitigate AI-related risks and ensure standards.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance to align AI initiatives with risk frameworks.
• Establish dynamic monitoring to detect control deficiencies and ensure remediation.
• Develop incident response plans for AI systems, including data breaches or failures.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and senior management to align control strategies.
• Champion innovative control processes and cross-functional collaboration.
• Periodically update risk management strategies in light of new trends and regulations.
