Avenga, a global technology services firm, seeks a Senior Payment Systems Specialist in Buenos Aires (CABA) to join our Cards engineering team. You will design, develop, and optimize mainframe-based card processing systems powering merchant acquiring and settlement.

The role requires deep COBOL, DB2, CICS and JCL expertise in an IBM Mainframe environment, plus a strong grasp of card lifecycle, payments processing, and merchant settlement. Hybrid work; on-site three days a week.

Formación

• Solid mainframe experience in enterprise banking.
• Expertise in COBOL, DB2, CICS and JCL.
• Strong knowledge of acquiring, merchant payments, and settlement.

Responsabilidades

• Design, code, test, and maintain high-volume COBOL, CICS, DB2 and JCL programs for card systems.
• Develop features for the Cards domain on IBM Mainframe platforms.
• Implement logic for merchant acquiring, payment aggregation, settlement and chargeback.
• Analyze DB2 performance and optimize batch and online workflows.
• Collaborate with analysts and tech teams to translate requirements to code.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and document systems.
