Placements24 client in Sandton, Gauteng is seeking a Geotechnical Site Engineer to oversee investigations, supervise earthworks, and ensure foundation stability on diverse projects.

You will interpret results, provide on-site engineering guidance, and work with designers and contractors to maintain safety, quality control, and adherence to geotechnical standards.

Residence in or willingness to relocate to Gauteng preferred; opportunities for training and career progression are offered.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of geotechnical site supervision experience.
• Familiarity with soil testing methods and equipment.
• Knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation engineering concepts.

Mansioni

• Supervise and conduct geotechnical site investigations, including soil sampling and in-situ testing.
• Monitor and control earthworks, compaction, and foundation construction activities on site.
• Interpret geotechnical data and provide real-time engineering recommendations to site teams.
• Ensure compliance with geotechnical design specifications and quality control procedures.
• Liaise with contractors, designers, and laboratory personnel regarding site conditions and test results.
