Job summary

Chevron is seeking an experienced engineer for a 7x7 rotation in El Trapial Field, Neuquén, Argentina. You will design, manage, and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies for the field.

You will analyze monitoring data, recommend changes to corrosion programs, and act as SME for water, oil, and gas treatment facilities to improve operational excellence, reliability, efficiency, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies.
• Experience interpreting chemical treatment monitoring data and recommending changes to corrosion control strategies.
• Intermediate English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies, including monitoring, inspection, and reporting.
• Provide technical assessment of monitoring data and propose changes to corrosion control programs.
• Serve as SME for water, oil, and gas treatment facilities to improve Operational Excellence, production, reliability, efficiency, and cost performance.
• Follow up on contractor performance via field visits and coordinate with O&M, Laboratory, and service providers.
• Lead OE execution in the field with a strong focus on safety and compliance with safety/HSE standards.
• Forecast monthly operating costs and facility improvements related to chemical products in the field.
• Propose and lead medium- and long-term optimization initiatives focused on reliability, integrity, efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Identify, evaluate, and propose new technologies.
