Job summary

Bechtel in Argentina seeks an experienced Environmental Permits Specialist to manage permit processes from planning through project execution. You will translate regulatory requirements into design criteria, anticipate restrictions, and maintain a critical permit route aligned with schedule.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in environmental management, strong Spanish and technical English, and experience with EPC/EPCM projects and mining or infrastructure endeavors.

Qualifications

• Experience in EPC/EPCM environments and permits management.
• Proficient in Spanish and English for technical communication.
• Strong knowledge of Argentine environmental regime and permits.
• University degree in Environmental Sciences or related fields; 5–10 years in relevant roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the permits matrix and submission timelines.
• Prepare, review and submit environmental impact reports and updates.
• Manage sectoral permits and respond to authorities' observations.
• Maintain dialogue with provincial and national enforcement bodies.
• Provide environmental constraints and risk information to design teams.
• Produce progress reports on permits and regulatory risks.
