Job summary

AgileEngine in Cordoba, Argentina, is seeking a mid-level Database Administrator to manage high-availability production databases, focusing on performance, security, and reliability.

You will work with Microsoft SQL Server, Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, Terraform, and Confluent Kafka, applying IaC practices and data-protection standards while collaborating with engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS, particularly RDS and Aurora.
• Programming with PowerShell or Python.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with Kafka (Confluent Kafka).
• Extensive performance analysis and tuning experience.
• Experience with high-availability production systems and disaster recovery.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and ensure performance.
• Plan and implement disaster recovery to prevent data loss.
• Ensure database security and access control adherence.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with engineers on system design and performance tuning.
• Operate hands-on in a highly technical environment managing data systems behind a website.
• Stay composed under pressure in demanding situations.
