World Business Lenders is seeking a data science-focused professional to join the Data team, concentrating on credit, loan performance, collateral, and recovery modeling. You will work with large national real estate and lending datasets to build predictive models and validate results, driving insights across underwriting and risk management.

The role offers a fully remote, full-time contractor position with EST-aligned hours, an opportunity to own modeling work end-to-end, and autonomy as data

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in data science, applied modeling, or quantitative analytics.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with large datasets and model validation.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and validate internal credit, risk, valuation, and recovery models against real historical outcomes.
• Build predictive and forecasting models estimating future loan performance, defaults, collateral value changes, and recoveries.
• Design and run backtests, sensitivity analyses, scenario comparisons, and time-based analyses across large datasets.
• Work with multi-source lending and real estate datasets to extract, clean, reconcile, and validate data for modeling.
• Identify factors most predictive of loan performance and build shareable tools for stakeholders to explore results.
• Document data quality issues, model limitations, and inconsistencies found in real-world datasets.
• Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for underwriting, pricing, portfolio, and risk management.
• Maintain reproducible, well-documented modeling work for independent review.
