Chevron Global Business Services in Buenos Aires is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain automated data pipelines supporting data architecture. You will work with a broad set of storage and compute technologies to enable data access and analytics across the organization.

The role requires 5+ years in data engineering, strong Azure and Python/Java skills, and collaboration with ML engineering for scalable solutions.

Formación

• BS in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineer or related field, or equivalent experience.
• +5 years in Data Engineer role.
• Experience with data acquisition, preparation, validation; data movement and transformation; analytics solution architecture; big data computing; cloud computing; core data architecture; information security.
• Proficient with Azure/Data Factory, Databricks, Python/Java, CI/CD tools, and related data engineering technologies.

Responsabilidades

• Understand business use of data and stakeholder requirements to support work processes and strategic business objectives
• Leverage data, software engineering and data science techniques to create business value through data accessibility, including ingestion, preparation and analytics processing
• Identify, acquire, cleanse & prepare, store data and develop data products aligned with defined architecture patterns
• Normalize and ingest data from multiple sources
• Enable data scientists by making data available for advanced analytics models
• Collaborate with ML Engineer to scale and deploy solutions including model, documentation and training
• Contribute to inner source development of foundational tools and deployment of technical services
