Muttdata, a remote-first startup, is seeking a Data Engineer Semi Senior to help advance our data platforms and ML-driven products using Databricks, Python, and Spark. You will build batch and streaming pipelines and help define data contracts and quality rules across data products.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and optimizing data pipelines.
• Experience with Databricks, Python, and Spark for batch and streaming.
• English at a basic to intermediate level.
• Familiarity with a BI tool like Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Co-develop batch and streaming pipelines, semantic models, and transformations on Databricks (Python/Spark).
• Defines and maintains data contracts, quality rules, and data SLOs for each data product.
• Guides domain teams on data modeling and data product boundaries.
• Trains, mentors and pairs with domain engineers/analysts on data product ownership and best practices.
• Captures feedback and improvements into platform templates, tooling, and patterns.
