AgileEngine is seeking a Mid-level Data Engineer to build and maintain dbt pipelines and Snowflake data marts behind customer-facing reporting and analytics. You will own data models, quality checks, and ingestion pipelines while ensuring governance and performance.

The role requires solid dbt experience, strong SQL and Python, and an upper-intermediate English level. You’ll work across teams in a hybrid setup with competitive USD-based compensation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics engineering or data engineering.
• Solid dbt experience: modeling, tests, macros, incremental models.
• Strong SQL and working Python.
• Data modeling fundamentals: dimensional modeling, data marts.
• Experience with Snowflake or a modern cloud warehouse.
• Experience with ingestion tools (Airbyte, Prefect).
• Familiarity with guardrails around AI/coding tools.
• Business curiosity and ability to explain data to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dbt pipelines, data marts, and warehouse models for reporting and analytics.
• Translate complex procurement/business logic into maintainable, tested pipelines.
• Develop models within the data mart architecture and propose improvements.
• Contribute to the semantic layer used by internal agents and queries.
• Maintain PII boundaries and data governance for safe access.
• Build and maintain FastAPI services exposing reporting marts.
• Ingest data via Airbyte, OneSchema, and S3; support Forward Deployed Engineering.
• Implement data quality checks and alerting to surface issues early.
• Document lineage and ensure consistency of metrics and definitions.
