AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Mid-level Data Engineer in Bariloche, Argentina to build and maintain dbt pipelines and Snowflake data marts behind customer-facing reporting, spend analytics, and AI features.

The role requires solid dbt experience, SQL and Python, and experience with Airbyte or Prefect for ingestion/orchestration, as well as a strong understanding of dimensional modeling and cloud data warehouses like Snowflake. English at an upper-intermediate level is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics engineering or equivalent on production data pipelines.
• Solid dbt experience: modeling, tests, macros, and incremental models.
• Strong SQL and Python proficiency.
• Data modeling fundamentals: dimensional modeling, data marts, grain and conformance.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dbt pipelines, data marts, and warehouse models for reporting, spend analytics, and AI features.
• Translate complex procurement logic into maintainable, well-tested pipeline code.
• Build models within the data mart architecture, ensuring conformed dimensions and proper grain.
• Contribute to the semantic layer for consistent metrics and dimensions.
• Maintain boundary between PII and reporting-safe data.
• Build and maintain FastAPI services exposing reporting marts to customers.
• Ingest data via Airbyte, OneSchema, and S3 into the warehouse and support data onboarding.
• Implement data quality checks: freshness, schema tests, and reconciliations.
• Document data lineage and ensure guardrails are understood and followed.
• Tune Snowflake performance and cost within models.
