Job summary

Olé Life seeks a Cybersecurity Lead to own security strategy across LATAM, reporting to the CTO and partnering with engineering, infra, and business teams. This is a hands-on leadership role shaping security direction and driving critical initiatives.

Based in Buenos Aires or Lima with remote work options, you will manage risk, improve cloud security, lead incident response, and ensure compliant, responsible AI usage across our panel of brokers and partners.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in cybersecurity, with hands-on cloud security experience.
• Proven track record in maturing security programs in high-growth companies.
• Ability to translate risk into business terms for diverse teams.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.

About Us

Olé Life is a life insurtech with presence in 30+ countries across Latin America and the Caribbean. We distribute USD-denominated life insurance exclusively through brokers, agents, and fintech partners, in a 100% B2B2C model. We closed a Series B led by PayPal Ventures, hold a B++ rating from AM Best, and work with Munich Re, RGA, and PartnerRe as reinsurers. We're in full scale-up stage.

The Role

As we scale, we're consolidating security under a dedicated leader. The Cybersecurity Lead will own our security strategy and set the standard for how we protect our clients, partners, and data across the region. You'll report to the CTO and work closely with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll define the direction and drive the work yourself.

What you'll do

• Own the security roadmap: evaluate risk, set priorities, and drive execution end to end.
• Strengthen preventive and detective controls across our cloud environments, including identity and access, logging, and monitoring.
• Own incident response: playbooks, readiness, and leading the response when something happens.
• Secure our use of AI: policies, data exposure controls, and safe adoption of AI tools and agents across the company.
• Lead our security awareness program, including phishing simulations and role-based training.
• Manage third-party and vendor risk, and represent Ol'e in security reviews with partners, distributors, and reinsurers.
• Drive our path toward ISO 27001 readiness and compliance with data protection regulations across our markets.

In your first year

• A clear, prioritized security roadmap the leadership team is aligned on.
• Measurable improvement in our cloud security posture and detection capabilities.
• Partner and client security reviews handled quickly and confidently.
• A security culture people across the company actually engage with.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years in cybersecurity, with hands-on experience securing cloud environments.
• Track record leading and maturing security programs in a high-growth company.
• Ability to explain risk in business terms and bring technical and non-technical teams along.
• Professional Spanish and English.

Nice to have

• Experience with ISO 27001.
• Experience securing AI/LLM usage in a company setting.
• Background in insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with LGPD and LatAm data protection regulations.
