Prometeo Talent is partnering with a US-based cybersecurity startup to hire a Senior Backend Engineer who thrives in startup environments and enjoys building scalable systems from the ground up.

You will design, build, and maintain distributed systems using Java and Python, with AI-assisted development workflows, strong ownership, and high-impact ownership across product and platform.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering or backend development.
• 5+ professional experience with Python, building and maintaining production-grade backend systems.
• Strong experience with Java.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM-based application development (AI agents, agentic systems, or LLM-powered applications)
• Experience building AI-driven features, LLM integrations, or agentic workflows in production environments is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalable architectures, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience working with databases, message queues, and data processing pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Proven experience building, maintaining, optimizing, and improving products after launch.
• Strong ownership mindset, autonomy, and ability to thrive in startup or fast-paced environments.
• Advanced English level

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who thrives in startup environments and enjoys building scalable systems from the ground up.
