Job summary

Chevron is seeking a Petroleum/Chemical/Industrial Engineer in Neuquén, Argentina for a full-time role focused on chemical treatment and corrosion control in oil and gas operations. The role emphasizes field-based OE, safety, and cost optimization.

You will design and monitor treatment strategies, interpret monitoring data, and work with operations, maintenance, and service providers. The position follows a 7x7 rotation at El Trapial Field and requires English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies.
• Experience assessing and interpreting chemical treatment monitoring data and recommending changes to corrosion control strategies.
• Advanced English (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies, including monitoring and inspection activities.
• Provide technical assessment of chemical treatment data and recommend changes to corrosion analyses and programs.
• Serve as SME for water, oil, and gas treatment facilities and chemical treatment services.
• Lead OE execution in the field with a strong focus on safety and RCRM standards.
• Prepare forecasts and monthly tracking of operating costs and facility improvements related to chemical products.
• Propose and lead medium- and long-term optimization initiatives to reduce total treatment costs.
• Identify, evaluate, and propose new technologies.
