Job summary

Chevron is seeking a Chemical Specialist in Neuquén, Argentina, for a 7x7 rotational schedule in El Trapial Field. You will develop, implement, and optimize chemical treatment and corrosion control programs to support safe, reliable operations.

Responsibilities include designing and managing treatment strategies, interpreting monitoring data, acting as SME for water, oil, and gas treatment facilities, and leading OE initiatives with a strong safety focus. English required at least intermediate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree as stated in requirements.
• Minimum 5 years in chemical treatment and corrosion control.
• English proficiency: Intermediate.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and implement chemical treatment and corrosion control strategies and monitoring activities.
• Provide technical assessment and interpretation of monitoring data and recommend changes to corrosion strategies.
• Serve as SME for water, oil, and gas treatment facilities to improve OE, production, reliability, and cost performance.
• Follow up on contractor performance through field visits and cross-functional interaction with Operations & Maintenance and service providers.
• Lead OE execution with a strong focus on safety and compliance with PSM/HSE standards.
• Prepare forecasts and track operating costs and facility improvements related to chemical products.
• Propose and lead medium- and long-term optimization initiatives for reliability and cost reduction.
• Identify, evaluate, and propose new technologies.
