Job summary

Met T&S, the MAIRE group’s global employment company, seeks a Construction Deputy HSE Manager to oversee HSE policy deployment across Argentina and South America. The role requires managing large industrial EPC projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will lead safety training, incident investigations, and HSE reporting while collaborating with clients and subcontractors to uphold MAIRE’s standards on site.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish (mandatory) and English.
• Experience managing large industrial, EPC, energy, oil & gas, petrochemical, or infrastructure construction sites.
• Understand local South American construction environments, contractors, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement the MAIRE group HSE Policy and HSE Management System at site.
• Perform Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Verify adequacy of the Site HSE Plan and related procedures, and update as needed.
• Coordinate HSE training on site and lead site HSE meetings.
• Lead and coordinate the Site HSE Committee and emergency response activities.
• Prepare HSE reports, statistics and action plans; ensure corrective actions are completed.

Job summary/Role description

• The HSE Manager implements and monitors the MAIRE group HSE Policy and Management System at the site. He ensures compliance with HSE standards, conducts inspections and audits, organizes training, investigates accidents, and maintains records. He prepares HSE reports and updates site statistics, proposing recovery plans as needed.

Activities and main responsibilities

• Support and monitor the implementation of the MAIRE group HSE Policy and HSE Management System at site.
• Perform the Job Hazardous Analysis (JHA) and participate in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Verify the adequacy and application of the Site HSE Plan and all related procedures, preparing any revisions.
• Update the HSE documentation during all the construction phases when deemed necessary.
• Check that Subcontractors perform their activities in accordance with all the HSE applicable procedures, regulation and standards, promoting all necessary action to ensure that the said procedures and regulations are observed.
• Organize, plan, and participate in periodical HSE walkarounds, inspections, and audits on site, prepare all the relevant reports, action plans, verify the follow-up, and the timely execution of the corrective actions.
• Organize and coordinate the HSE Training activities on site.
• Organize and participate in all relevant site HSE Meetings.
• Cooperate with the Client concerning the issuing of any necessary work permits.
• Organize a full investigation of work accidents, finalized to the identification of corrective measures to avoid reoccurrence.
• Keep accident records, identifying the areas to which prevention must be addressed.
• Promote indoctrination/training of personnel.
• Lead and coordinate the activities of the Site HSE Committee (composed of all Contractor and Subcontractors HSE Representatives).
• Lead and coordinate the site emergency response team and fire prevention/fighting team, organizing training and emergency drill mock activities.
• Prepare the HSE section of the construction monthly progress report and other periodical reports.
• Prepare and update the Site HSE Statistics, verify the performance versus the Project and corporate HSE Objective, Targets and performance indicators; propose recovery plan in case of mismatch.

The Construction HSE Manager operatively reports to the Site Construction Manager
