Glencore Copper SAOP is seeking a senior Civil Construction Leader for the Coroccohuayco Project in Peru. You will lead civil works and ensure integration between engineering, EPCM teams, and contractors.

The role emphasizes constructability, safety, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive experience in earthworks and concrete works on large mining facilities, with strong English and Spanish communication skills.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in large-scale earthworks and concrete construction.
• Experience with Owner’s Teams, EPCM, or EPC contractors.
• Experience in greenfield and brownfield projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methodologies, earthworks, and concrete works.
• Advanced English and fluent Spanish communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical leadership for civil construction activities within the Coroccohuayco Project.
• Advise on constructability, construction management, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, fire protection and zero-injury philosophy.
• Monitor EPCM and construction contractors to remove constraints affecting schedule or cost.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, and support functions to optimize sequencing.
• Promote innovation to reduce risk and improve capital efficiency.
• Develop construction procedures aligned with designs and specs.
• Provide training and guidance on constructability reviews and management requirements.
• Support the Construction Manager in site supervision, cost control, and resource coordination.
• Implement earthworks and civil execution strategies per governance and best practices.
