Job summary

Baker McKenzie is seeking a Billing Analyst to provide high-quality billing services across offices worldwide. You will prepare, review, and finalize invoices in line with firm policies, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to clients.

Responsibilities include handling time transfers, billing adjustments, maintaining client billing information, and collaborating with global teams to optimize processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Liberal Arts, or related field.
  • Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Previous billing experience preferred; experience in other Finance functions will also be considered.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a global team environment.
  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and proactive approach to work.
  • Experience using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to improve productivity and support decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned billing matters from initiation through completion, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Maintain and update client billing information, requirements, and billing instructions.
  • Prioritize workload effectively, identify potential issues, and elevate exceptions when needed.
  • Collaborate with Billing & Collections teams, Functional Leaders, Partners, Personal Assistants, and other stakeholders globally.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving billing-related issues and support continuous process improvements.
  • Analyze billing data and complex situations to support informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
