Job summary

Zeal, now part of Livefront, is seeking an outstanding AWS Engineer to join our team. This role is available across our primary LATAM hub in Peru, focusing on designing and implementing observability strategies for applications and infrastructure in AWS.

You will build monitoring and visualization via CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenSearch, and managed Grafana/Prometheus, instrument services with OpenTelemetry, and drive reliable, scalable cloud ecosystems with IaC using Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes,

Qualifications

• Extensive AWS production experience with observability and reliability.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry and cloud-native monitoring tools.
• Strong communication to explain complex infra to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement observability strategies for applications, infrastructure, containers, and distributed systems running in AWS.
• Build monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and visualization solutions using AWS services such as CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenSearch, Managed Prometheus, and Managed Grafana.
• Instrument applications and services using OpenTelemetry and other modern observability standards and frameworks.
• Build meaningful dashboards, alerts, SLIs, and SLOs that help teams identify performance and reliability issues before they impact users.
• Partner with other engineers to improve observability throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle.
• Design and manage scalable AWS infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native technologies such as Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and EKS.
• Analyze production incidents using metrics, logs, and distributed traces to identify root causes and recommend improvements.
• Help clients improve performance, reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency of their AWS environments while documenting reusable observability patterns and practices.
