JPMorganChase is seeking a proactive SRE-focused engineer to design, build and maintain software and automation for our AWS database fleet. You will write production-grade Python and Java, own SLOs and error budgets, and drive reliability across RDS, Aurora and DynamoDB.

You will implement monitoring and diagnostics, collaborate with product engineering, and lead resolution of complex database issues, contributing to a resilient, self-healing platform at scale.

Formación

• Hands-on experience with AWS managed database services such as RDS, Aurora or DynamoDB.
• Software engineering mindset to automate reliability and reduce toil with code.
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts and ability to integrate AI into design.
• Proficient in Python, Java, Go, or C++ for building reliable systems.
• Experience designing, building and running resilient services with SLOs and on-call.
• Knowledge of cloud, virtualization, APIs and modern software design.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines (Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins).
• Hands-on experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Splunk, etc.).
• Experience delivering full-stack solutions on cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with agile/lean practices and cross-team collaboration.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to management teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and maintain software and automation to keep our AWS database fleet reliable, observable and self-healing.
• Write production-grade code in Python and Java to remove manual toil and codify operational knowledge.
• Own SLOs, error budgets and the reliability roadmap for managed database platforms (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB).
• Build monitoring, alerting and diagnostics for platform health insight.
• Collaborate with product engineering and Site Reliability leaders to ensure reliability requirements are fed back into the product.
• Lead resolution of the most challenging database and infrastructure issues, then engineer.
