J.P. Morgan is seeking an AWS Database SRE Engineer as part of Platform Services to develop software that keeps our AWS database platforms reliable at scale and enabling client teams.

Responsibilities include designing, building and maintaining automation in Python and Java, owning SLOs and error budgets, and building observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and more. You will work with product engineering and SRE leaders to improve reliability.

Formación

• Hands-on AWS experience with managed database services such as RDS, Aurora or DynamoDB.
• Strong software engineering mindset: solve operational problems with code.
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts and ability to analyze AI use cases and build solutions.
• Strong software development experience in Python, Java, Go, or C++.
• Experience designing, building and running resilient services with SLOs and on-call.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and maintain software and automation to keep AWS database fleets reliable, observable and self-healing.
• Write production-grade code to remove manual toil and codify operational knowledge.
• Own SLOs, error budgets and the reliability roadmap for managed database platforms (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB).
• Build monitoring, alerting and diagnostics for platform health.
• Collaborate with product engineering and Site Reliability leaders to feed reliability requirements back into the product.
• Lead resolution of challenging database and infrastructure issues.
