Cowboy Space Corp. is seeking a highly technical Hardware Project Manager to drive avionics hardware development from concept through qualification and flight readiness.

You will coordinate Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Quality to ensure on-schedule delivery, design for manufacturing, risk management and compliant integration across the hardware lifecycle, including DO-254/DO-160 context. Strong leadership in fast-paced aerospace environments and proficiency with Jira and PLM

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
• 3–5+ years leading complex hardware programs, preferably in aerospace or high-reliability industries.
• End-to-end hardware lifecycle: PCB design, prototyping, qualification, manufacturing, production.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across Hardware, Embedded Software, FPGA, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, etc.
• Proficiency with Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, and PLM systems like Arena or Windchill.

Responsabilidades

• Translate avionics requirements into executable hardware plans and work packages.
• Own integrated hardware schedule: schematic capture, PCB layout, bring-up, qualification.
• Drive milestone execution using agile or phase-gated methods.
• Lead cross-functional hardware/software integration across teams.
• Facilitate DFM, DFA, DFT reviews and production readiness.
• Own risk management: risk register, ECOs, MRBs, configuration control.
• Partner with Supply Chain for vendor selection and long-lead procurement.
• Manage BOMs, AMLs, part numbering, and release documentation.
• Ensure EMC/EMI, signal/power integrity, reliability analyses.
• Support spacecraft integration, environmental tests, and on-orbit investigations.
• Contribute to system architecture and scaling hardware processes.
