Job summary

Sterlington PLLC is seeking an experienced attorney development leader to own the growth and engagement of associates. You will build feedback cadences, design L&D programs, and create a true sense of belonging within the firm, reporting to the People Team and collaborating with firm leadership.

Ideal candidates have a legal or attorney-development background, strong coaching skills, and working knowledge of US employment law.

Qualifications

• Legal/attorney-development background required, ideally inside a law firm or legal tech environment.
• Strong L&D program design grounded in adult learning theory.
• Proven coaching and mentoring experience; prior people management is a plus.
• Working knowledge of US employment law; comfortable with when to escalate.
• Data-driven with ability to analyze utilization and performance metrics.
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal.
• Americas time zone overlap, ideally ET for team alignment.
• Resilient, direct, transparent temperament; comfortable with ambiguity and tech-forward mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build a feedback cadence around firm-wide culture of feedback.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with partners and firm leadership.
• Create a sense of community and belonging for associates.
• Own learning and development programs end-to-end.
• Coach and mentor associates as a people manager.
• Use data to drive decisions on utilization and performance.
• Contribute to talent acquisition efforts and apply US employment-law knowledge when needed.
• Speak with authority to position attorney development as a core firm function.
