Job summary

Jan De Nul Group in Buenos Aires is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the finance team in handling invoices, intercompany reconciliations, and month-end closing for Argentine entities and projects.

You will work closely with the (senior) accountant and project teams to ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with local standards. Based in Buenos Aires, the role requires flexibility around month-end deadlines.

Qualifications

• Studies in Public Accounting (Contador Público) or a related field in economics; relevant work experience is an advantage
• Good verbal and written Spanish and English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with Tango is a plus.
• Initiative and eagerness to learn.
• The ability to work independently and handle deadlines and pressure well.
• You live in or near Buenos Aires and are entitled to work here.

Responsibilities

• Processing incoming invoices, issuing outgoing invoices (electronic invoicing through ARCA), and entering and coding invoices in our system.
• Following up on the approval workflow for incoming invoices with the relevant departments.
• Monitoring and reconciling intercompany transactions.
• Preparing and maintaining financial journals and overviews of customers and suppliers.
• Following up on open items with suppliers and customers.
• Supporting month-end closing and reporting.
• Ensuring all of this is in line with Argentine legal and accounting standards
