UNODC Argentina Programme Office seeks a Senior Project Support Assistant (Chemistry) to provide operational and logistical support for a Neuquén Province project focused on strengthening institutional capabilities against drug trafficking at the retail level.

The role involves organizing technical documents, systematizing inputs, and monitoring program progress, with emphasis on training material development and coordination with the provincial Ministry of Security.

Formación

• Secondary education with 5+ years of relevant experience in inspection, auditing, regulatory control, laboratory work, substance analysis, or drug control.
• University degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Forensic Sciences, Toxicology, or related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Technical or university training in applied chemistry, instrumental analysis, or regulatory affairs is desirable.
• Spanish required; English desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Organize and systematize technical documents, inputs, reports, and training materials related to narcotics, psychotropic substances, and chemical precursors.
• Maintain updated guidance documents, protocols, and conceptual notes.
• Provide logistical support for training sessions on controlled substances, synthetic drugs, and forensic analysis.
• Support forensic laboratory capacity building and preliminary substance analysis, plus progress reporting and coordination.
